I was calling around i want to put hids into my fogs and headlights and the autoparts store said if i put hids into the factory housing that they will melt? Iv never heard this before and see them everywhere anyone have any input to what he was saying or had there housing melt?

 

The 55w HID lights may melt it but ive also heard of people running them with no problem. The 35w ones wont melt the housing.

 

Thank you, that is what i thought my brother had a set of the 35w and i didnt like the color out put they were 8000k and they were a deep deep blue he took them out. On my old truck i had 10000k 55w in projector lights and they were slightly blue but more white i liked them but this time around i only want 6000k

 

I have the 35w 6000K on mine that i got from the vendor on here and they are great. I'm thinking of taking them out though because I didnt get the ones with Hi and low beams, I got the single beam ones so i have no hi beam anymore. I'd check his threads out in the vendor section he has pretty decent prices IMO

 

Ok do you have any pics of them on that i could see? Are yours in factory housing?

 

When i take pictures the light comes out green so they dont help. yes mine are in factory housing. The factory housing scatters the light and you might have to reaim them so they dont blind on coming traffic.
