I own a 2003 F150 Heritage. When I try to order anything not one site has the heritage in the 2003 it only starts in the 2004. why is this?

Your heritage is an 04. But with 03 body. It was basically left over parts.

I am not an expert on F-150 models having just came back from owning a different brand for about 8 years. I just got an F-150 2004 Heritage model and yes, it was made with the "old" body style. I also found another Ford forum where there is a seperate section for 2003 Heritage models. It seems they all had a two tone paint scheme where the 2004, mine at least is a solid color. When looking up body parts etc. The part number is usually the same as 2003 parts. I can only guess they don't list 2003 Heritage because except for the paint it is the same as any of the 2003 models.
This is all my opinion and best guess, I am just happy I have the 2004 Heritage because I do like the body style better than the 2004 on. Jim.

Its just odd to me because it is a 100 year anniversy 1903 to 2003. so I dont get how a 2004 can be a heritage model.

I had a 25th anniversary 1990 Mustang built in Feb 90' .. The first Mustang appeared in April 1964 so both the 1989 and 1990 models built before April 1990 where considered Anniversary models . I'm sure the same thing applies in your case

I own a 2003 Heritage (Black/Shadow grey) and whenever I order parts I just order them for a 2003 F-150 XLT. You should have no problems if you do the same.
