Default Help Us Identify this Hit and Run Driver

Hi All,

My name is Paul Min and I am a law clerk with Keating Law Offices in Chicago. We represent a client who was hit by a white pickup truck with what appears to be a camper shell of the same color. The incident occurred on February 8, 2013 at approximately 11:42AM. Our client, Dustin Valenta, 27, suffered numerous severe injuries: 23 broken ribs, a punctured lung, fractured pelvis, collar bone, shoulder bones, and base of the skull. He faced serious life-threatening injuries but thankfully he is recovering and has been transferred out of the ICU.

The local news have picked up the story but the identity of the hit-and-run driver is still unknown. We have been able to secure surveillance footage from a bank that captured the incident. Local members within the community have deduced to a potential identification of the make and model of the vehicle as a 10th or 11th generation Ford F-150.

We are coming to the experts to either confirm or deny these speculations. The reason why we are trying to pinpoint as close as possible the make and model is to possibly identify the driver from multiple different cameras within the vicinity.

Attached within the post are two videos uploaded to the firm's Youtube page. In addition we have a 7-frame enhanced animated .gif file thanks to the efforts of a Good Samaritan on a local bike forum. From that person, we also have enhanced shots of the grille and the sideshot.

Thank you for any help you may offer in this matter!

Well, kind of neat that a law firm would take the time to come on here to ask for help from forumgoers. A law clerk at that, but you can bet that if the forum can help lead to an identity, said clerk would be pretty darn well "atta-boy-ed" back at the office.

Kudos for coming on here to ask, in any event. If it helps, it looks like a 2009+ supercab with the 8ft bed, but can't tell whether it's 2WD or 4WD, but I'd guess 2WD given the apparent lack of space between the top of the tire and the lower wheel well opening. A closer look at the grille would help determine whether it's an XL, XLT, or a Lariat - assuming the owner didn't swap out the stock grille for another. Good luck.

I disagree with you guys, its 06-08 regular cab long box 2wd. if you watch the video carefully the tail light is square instead of the 09+ triangular shaped tail light.

I also disagree. I think it's an 04-08, not an 09+

I agree a 04-08 regular cab long bed. Looks like 2wd but could be wrong. It kinda looks like the cap has the windows on the side that slide open if it helps any.

Hard to tell but 04-08 would certainly be my best guess.
It also seems to have a bug deflector/shield on the tip of the hood, or something along those lines (maybe an AVS Aeroskin ?), because theres that black stripe on what looks like the tip of the hood (Which is much wider than what looks to be the grill).
