Help with trade value assessment
Hey guys just wanted your opinion on trading my car:
My car:
His truck:
2018 F150 XLT SuperCrew with 38000km(23750miles) it has the xtr package($2700 CAD or 2000USD) its a 4x4 with the 3.3 liter v6 mated to 6 speed trans (base option), inside its cloth and no centre council just the bench seat. Hes got a backup camera also a bed cover
In your opinion which is worth more and is this a good trade ? Basically I would just like to get the truck and sell it to get some money I put in my car out.
Thanks

If you're doing a straight up swap, the truck should be worth more.
According to Canada Black Book, your car's average asking price is around 25k, and the truck is around 40k.

Even with the 3.3l v6 and 6 speed, also its got the front bench seat not the centre console, small backup camera screen, it seems the trucks worth more but even with those options being so base ? Its got the xtr though which is good

Check out Canada Black Book to compare average asking prices:

The Truck:

These are based on the small amount of info provided for each vehicle, but it's a decent reference point.

The blackbook value comes up for my car but not the f150, 2018 f150 supercrew xlt does not show option for 3.3l 6speed auto(base option) I know for a fact that its actually a 3.3l but its not popular so I guess thats why its not on the canadianblackbook value site? Any other way to assess value

even without looking at any book value, common sense is that the truck is worth way more than that car !
now you can't really rely on book values, they're more like suggested prices.
you want real world prices go to online vehicle websites where the general public sells their used vehicles (& dealers too)
type in make/model/year/etc... to see what's the going price & around you.
I don't know what you have in Canada for these websites, but one I know of in USA is carsoup.com
