Default Help Speedometer

Changed battery. Speedometer starts at around 90mph sitting still now. 2012 XLT. Any easy fixes? Thanks.

Give people a chance to see your post. The problem, doesn't;'t seem connected, but must be if all was okay beforehand. Try removing and replacing cables? I am not sure if clearing codes - or at least going through that procedure -, would help anything. I'm sure some wiser person will be able to help.

How do you expect anyone to help you when you don’t list what you’ve already tried as part of troubleshooting? As far as I know, nobody on this forum can read minds across the internet.

Have you unhooked the battery and let the truck sit for 20 minutes? Put your old battery back in? Verified that you did not bump any connectors or grounds near the battery when you replaced it?

Thanks for no help and schooling instead. Why would I put a dead battery back in?

You apparently need schooling. No one here knows your other battery was dead, you said you changed it, no indication as to why,

Have you checked codes, do you know if your new battery was fully charged, what it's state of health was, did you reset the BMS or clear any codes, are the terminals clean, did you ohm out the cables to verify they are not the problem, it the alternator putting out noise(AC ripple) that is causing the speedometer problem, have you tested the charging system and if so, how did it test, what were the results i.e. volts and amps. Is your battery new or just a different battery

More info is needed before anyone can offer any kind of remote help, as no one on this forum is physic.

Just start out going 90mph when you start your truck, then it will be accurate.
