Unhappy HELP! Spark plug replacement question.

Hello,
I have a 2001 5.4 Triton F150 Lariat 7700 with 140kms. I want to change my spark plugs but heard horror stories of spark plugs breaking.
Does the spark plugs problem applies to the year of my Truck?
Is my trucks 2valves or 3?
Does the plug problem is only on the 3 valves or 2 valves or Year 2004 and up?

I have called several Ford dealership and they just will not tell me anything other than...”bring it in and we will take a look at it.”

Can someone tell me what am I looking at on this truck to do a spark plug job?

Thank you in advance.

01 is a 2v engine, no need to worry about breaking plugs, need to be sure to get them tight, though. Torque wrench is a must, they're cheap insurance on this job.

Thank you all for your reply. I now know that they cannot tell me $450+ $60 for every broken plug. This is what I have been quoted by Ford dealerships.

What should I expect to pay to do a spark plug job at a shop?
Is this something I could take on having all proper tools?
What recommendation would you have for best spark plugs?

You can do it yourself... a good spark plug socket and a few other small sizes ...metric for the cop bolts, I would buy new OEM motorcraft plugs and a set of boots and springs .. a dab of dielectric grease in each boot end.. this will aid in sealing out moisture..very easy job.. watch a YouTube video so, you know what to expect. Good luck and ask questions to the good people of this forum.. they will help you.
