Post Help...Is PCM bad on 07 F-150?

Ok new here. Drove truck to work approx 15 miles and truck ran fine. Left work tried to start truck and no start. Returned to work approx 6 hrs later, truck started and made it home. Did some research everyone thought it was the fuel pump drive module. I checked it out and module was cracked and had holes in it. Next step changed that. Still no start but could kind of here fuel pump run. Sprayed a touch of starting fluid and truck fired right up and ran smooth as can be until I shut it off again, engine crank no start. Again, touch of starting fluid fired right up. Drove truck to work no problems, after work not so. Truck died on me 5 times on way home even with the help of starting fluid... FOLLOWING DAY STARTING FLUID WOULD NOT EVEN TOUCH IT. At this point, bit the bullet and changed the fuel filter, the fuel pump as well as the fuel pump drive module. Still no start. Started to get fed up and started checking for fire and injection on fuel injectors - both had power but no pulse when engine was cranked. Had the truck towed to a dealership my wife works at and tech changed crank shaft position sensor. Again crank no start. The following day my wife returned to work and thought it was the pcm and went to lot to get numbers off it to search for a new one. So she thought what the heck I'm going to try and start it and the thing fired right up. Any suggestions can pcm be a problem intermittently?

I remember seeing that a fuel pressure sensor may cause this condition. I tried looking for it but cant find the thread. With all you have changed I would just have it properly diagnosed. Or since a regulator is only $50-$60 and easily changed, you might try that before a $1000 pcm.

Thanks for the reply summers22. The only other question is if the pressure sensor is bad will it shut down the coils from firing as well. Again thanks any help is greatly appreciated
