Default Help, new here

New to the forum and are up a creek without a paddle . Driving a 2015 F150 XLT super cab. It's dark and I was just flashed down and told my tail lights are out. Pulled over and looked. I have stop and turn but no tails/parking. Also the plate lights are out. When turning on and off the light switch the tails come on for a sec and then out. Just had them on for 30sec and then out? 2 hours from home and all local auto stores are closed.

Check electric connections for corrosion (then add some dielectric grease in the fittings). Follow the wiring through the cab to ensure all connectors are free of corrosion. I remember there being an issue with a connector under the bed of the truck that would get water in it and then fail. Intermittent sounds like wiring issue rather than burnt bulbs.

Are you still stuck????? Do your hazards work????? It doesn't sound like something you're going to be able to diagnose and fix in the dark by the side of the road. Can you drive with the hazards on (slowly) until you can limp it home.
I wish I had a better answer for you! Good luck!

Thanks for the help. Yeah it's definitely not a bulb issue thinking it's a wire issue somewhere I'll have to find in the morning. Can't do too much in the dark 2 hours from home. Thanks!

Yup still stuck. Unfortunately too far with too many highways between here and home. It's definitely a wiring issue that'll have to wait for morning when I don't need tails/parking. Everything works.

Thanks!
