Help me disable my back-up alarm on my 2012 3.5
#22
I'm gonna go out on a limb, it appeares to me that you may not be too familiar with the your truck. Did you recently purchase it? I've gone to my 2012 digital brochure for the 2012 F150. I took some pics from the brochure pertaining to the FX2/FX4 with my DSLR camera. Then resized them on my Photoshop Elements to post. This may help you get a bit more familiar with it.
In this post will be the standard equipment for the FX2/FX4. It may not be exact because things change thru the model year. The next post will be for the OPTIONS.

I did. It was a bit confusing though the way it's worded. As long as you are in Reverse you should be able to disable the tone. Maybe after 2011 it changed. But I have no experiance with the base message center. Just trying to help. Did you get it to stop?

Thanks for this thread. I've only towed with this truck a couple times since I got it 6 months ago ck my sig. Anyway it was driving me crazy and I couldn't get a menu to stop the reverse madness with the hitch ball on. Well I wasn't using the admin key. Once I got the other (admin) key the option came right up when I throw it in reverse. Ok so now I get the MyKey thing? The last Ford I owned was a 1993 F150

MyKey is for setting restrictions on keys, like max speed, max stereo volume, and it disables some things, like being able to turn off alarms. Whatever you do, do NOT set MyKey for your admin key, you will not be able to get full access back to it without a good bit of pain and money.
