If you could just throw my VIN in there if you get a chance, and just let me know if there are any red flags that pop up that would be great. Thank you a lot.

(3) more options I'm sure not listed.
And I'll try this out, thanks!

I checked out the vin and everything looks great on it! If you want to PM me your email address, I can send it to you to see for yourself.

Glad I could help

I've done this before with several of my previous trucks. You'll find some people that will GLADLY help and not bitch about it. There was even a guy on duramaxforum or dieselplace who was a GM rep/dealer who had an offer in his sig to give free Car Fax to any member on the forum.

I'm still trying to figure out what the extreme weather has to do with asking for a Carfax.

As the guy above stated the floods have been pretty bad around here in NY recently and I dont know about other areas in the country. I know there is also hail damage and other things that could possibly be easily masked to the eye.

I have to admit I was hesistant because i knew people would see me as cheap. But if i had a months wrth of free checks i would have no problem running VINs for fellow F-150 owners. This forums friendliness and knowledge has been very helpful to me.

I don't know if dieselplace still has it, but you used to be able to get the GM service/repair records on a vehicle by just giving a member your VIN.
This was years ago, so I don't know if he or someone else still does it, but that came in REAL helpful if/when one was looking at a used Duramax.
