my exhaust it straight piped from the cats back with an x pipe but its not loud! if i was to take the x pipe off wld it get louder? please help

 

My guess would be yes, it will be louder. How much I can't say. I would think your X pipe (cross over pipe) has got to be splitting the sound down both straight pipes and so making it a little quieter. The cats, though not actually mufflers are probably doing most of the muffler work and that's why it's not so loud now.
