Help door buzzer stays on
hi my 2004 f-150 fx4 (new look) 100,000 kms ....has the door open buzzer stuck on ...WD 40 the door latch that didnt work looked for broken wires in the door there was none gave up brought it to ford and after 4 hours later at $110 per hr they are telling me that my gauge cluster is shot and that is another $600 + 1 hr ...what dose that have to do with the door buzzer stayn on can i just take it out ????? thats alot of money for a dumb buzzer sound thanks ryan rcychowski@hotmail.com

I would take it to get a second opinion. Thats alot of money for something so minor. Doesnt sound right that the guage cluster would cause the warning chime to stay on without causing any other guage problems.
Does the door ajar light also stay on when this dinger is sounding???
If not, it may be a different warning sensor. Let say maybe head or parking lights on sensor, keys still in the ignition sensor etc. If not mistaken, I would think that they would share the same warning chime.

ya the light is on and the dome light is on ...and the radio says on with the keys out and the door open it will shut off after i bit ... i dont no ????/ its the dealer so u would think that they would no ?????

Any update on your problem because I am having a similar problem but my gauges will all die door chime will go off and all this happens while I am driving. If I bang on top of the cluster/dash they will come back "alive". Oh and last night the trip part of my cluster stayed on over night which caused my battery to lose charge. I am guessing it is my cluster but I dont know the best part is extended warranty does not cover it!!!

it works good BUT THEY DID RIP ME OFF my bill when it was all said and done was just over $1600.00 that makes me sick just thinkn about it ...so i would just watch where you take it to
