Buddy of mine has a 10" on his 06 Duramax. That thing roars down the highway leaving a smoke screen in it's wake. Another buddy of mine has just a straight piped 7.3 P-stroke, it isn't loud but needs a tip. If your not going to be putting a turbo on, true dual it. If so, just straight it from the turbo back.

Well everyone over at oilburners is turning me away from it and saying to relax and wait for a better deal to come along, and from the amount of information they know I'm going to trust them.

I did however stumble across a cummins for a good deal..now notice how I didn;t say "dodge". I would only be buying the cummins motor which happens to come with a free truck and transmission.

What year? I'f its a 12 valve 5.9, buy it! About $600 worth of mechanical upgrades and you can make an easy 500 hp and 700ft-lbs. I want to put a little 3.9 8 valve in my 02 F150. I'd stop buying them after the Common Rail 5.9 (no 6.7's). On any Cummins B series motor (4BT, 6BT) watch out for the Killer Dowel Pin. The bracket to fix it is like $4 from tndieselpower.com. No matter what, upgrade to Bosch 190 cc injectors or the $200cc Prince of Darkness injectors from pdrdiesel.com under 4BT performance (will work with all mechanical B series). I'd say at least a 3200 rpm gov spring, if you don't mind changing exhaust valve springs then go with the 3800 for the VE injection pump. New fuel pin (tndiesel has the best price). Then checkout Gillett Diesel for some cheap turbo upgrades for under $200. If it's a 24 valve, a new tune, injectors and turbo upgrades can get you in the 800lb-ft range around 500 hp.

cummins are by far the best diesel engine in my opinion but the trucks they come with cant even shift into 5th for more than 100000 miles. in the magazinr diesel power some guy dropped a cummins in his 1995 ford f250 and that was my dream truck.

My dream is a 5.9 with an allison behind it. Don't care about the body, just the drivetrain. lol I'd prefer a Cat diesel, but I'm not about to shell out the cash to get a new truck with one installed.
