Have you checked the manual? My automatic climate control does some strange things in my opinion, but it operates per the owner's manual.

 

So are you saying if it's set on 70 when you last drove it and you get back in it's on 65 or 80?

 

The climate control in mine also exhibits inconsistent operation upon start up, use to bother me but now I just push the button for what I want and forget about it.

Nope. My climate control does operate that way. lsomething is wrong.

 

 

No, I said mine operates per the manual, but strange at times. My auto climate control randomly shifts between the defroster (dash) and feet to the top dash vents. Most of the time (95%) it blows out from the defrost and feet. The ventilation shifts between various locations based upon the temperature in the truck. It is per the operating manual and my discussions with the service advisor. However, I cannot figure out what causes it to shift to the top dash vents at random times. My auto temperature setting remains the same as the original setting when starting the truck.

Your system is not operating properly based upon your description.
