Hello all, first time here so hopefully I can get some guidance. Have a 99 f-150 XLT 4.6L and the A/C stopped working about a year ago. Moved to Florida 9 months ago and as you can all imagine cannot bear the heat anymore. Took truck to local shop and wanted $1000.00 dollars to install new compressor with kit. Not complaining about the price but as we all know money is tight and the truck will be paid off the first of the year. I know I can take on some fixes but the A/C thing kind of scares me. So I bought motorcraft reman compressor with kit and waiting for the arrival and wondering if this can be done myself or should I ask for some qualified help. Thank you for the advice Peter
