hell yeah
Although the price per barrel is going down the price for gasoline out here in Hawaii sure isn't. They had a Chevron owner on the news last night to ask why and he said, we bought that gasoline back when oil prices were still at an all time high. I surely don't expect to see the prices drop too much out here even when they exhaust the expensive supply. By then oil prices will probably climb again and stations will continue to raise their prices. Damn greedy sumsabitches.
No, really lets just hope it will start/keep moving in the right direction. I build these trucks for a living, sorry if I was harsh, I WANT MY OVERTIME BACK. When I started the only time we didn't work 50 hours was if we had to work Saturday so it ended up being a 58 hour week. This was with 6 shifts in 3 plants building trucks. We will start the 09 with 3 shifts at 2 plants.
I believe this is the goal. Jack the rate up near $5 a gallon then bring it back down to around $3 and people will pay it and not complain unlike when the rate first hit $3 a gallon. The gas companies still come out way ahead and more than doubling their profit margins compared to where gas prices were this time in 2005. Katrina was supposedly the excuse because of damages to oil refineries along the gulf coast gasoline production was slowed. Well it's been 2 years now and that excuse is no longer valid.
