I just installed after market rv manual extended mirrors. My truck (2013 xlt crew cab) didn't have the heated mirror option. When I install them I noticed it was wired for them including on the fuse panel, having both a fuse and relay installed. My question is if I replace the climate control module in the dash with one that has that button will the heated mirrors work?

I just did that upgrade to my 13 STX. Short answer, yes.

 

Yes the heat will work with new climate controls, you may even get exterior temp if you put in sensor by horn under hood. Mine is a 2010 STX and along with heat got exterior temp.

 

it workd on my 2010 XLT, I got mine off ebay, just make sure you don't get one with dual climate control unless you have that.
