Angry Heat not starting using remote start?

Hello everyone,

I just bought a 2018 XLT with remote start. I went through the dash menu and selected the option for it to use the last setting when using the remote start. However, it does not seem to be doing so. The seats are not heating, the side view mirrors, back window and the front window defroster are not running until I turn the key. I tried to see if I could adjust anything through the touch screen and found that I do not have the climate option. Any help would be appreciated.

What is the outside temp when you test this?

I believe the lowest temp I've used the remote start with was 30 degrees.

It has to be on the auto setting for it to automatically select all the heating systems; and I believe it has to be freezing for the heated seats and defrosters to turn on. And the seats, for whatever reason, come on on the low setting.

I have selected the auto setting many times and still doesn't come on the next day. Also, I have to turn the seat warmers on every time. I know there has to be a way for all of those options to turn on with the remote start which is why I brought my question here, thinking someone would know how to fix this.

Just my observations - I have mine set to auto and it works flawlessly for both the climate control and seats. I have auto climate control so maybe that makes a difference....

the first couple times I used it I thought the seats weren’t working. When I got in the truck after remote start I did not see the lights on for the seats. But as it turns out the seats are actually warm - just that the indicators do not light up. Then when I push the brake pedal and push the start button - I then have to manually turn the seats on.

yesterday it was 33* ambient temp and the seats were nice and toasty.

Are you all adjusting the settings using the dash options or are you all using the climate control setting button on the touch screen? For some reason I do not have the option on the touch screen and am thinking that may have something to do with it. I usually start the truck using the remote start and let it run 5 minutes or so before getting in the truck. It has not once been warm and the seats have also never been warm. When I get in the truck and turn the key, I have to turn the seat warmers on and it is only a matter of seconds before I notice a difference

The 8" touch screen has nothing to do with remote start, well on mine anyways. All the settings are via the steering wheel buttons in advanced settings?? . Scrolling through the remote settings, there are several options to pick from.. I have everything on mine set to auto. Just tried it and no lights are visible on the dash, but the seats are warm. when I turn the ignition on, the seat warmer lights are still lit and I have to turn them off if I don't want the heat.

Thank you for the response but I am not looking for responses stating they don’t have this problem. I am looking for an answer on how to fix this. Anyone else out there gone through this issue?
