Question Headlights Flicker

I was wondering if someone could help me with a problem I am having, I have a 94 F150, I have put new headlights, new headlight switch and new headlight switch wiring harness in, headlights will come on, but 20min after they have been on, they will start to flicker, and the white disc that is on the switch will get really really hot. I have read on the forums about this problem but I have done everything that they have suggested, but I am still getting this problem, so I have come here to see if anyone can help me with it.

Need more info please... what kind of lights are you running? Why is there a switch with wiring harness for your headlights?? I'm a bit confused here as to what you are doing exactly.

I am running stock headlights, the wiring harness I speak of is the plastic pigtail connector that connects to the headlight switch behind the dash.

Did you check the connections where the ground wires go to the inner fenders?

No I did not check that, reason was I didn't do any rewiring to the headlights I just changed out the headlight assembly, I didn't have this problem until I changed the headlight switch, I purchased it new on eBay, I'm thinking the switch might be bad, my local autozone has the switch, going to go and purchase it and see what happens with that, if it still does it I will check the grounding behind the headlights.

Is your new headlight assembly OEM/old stock from Ford, or is it a Chinese knock off? I know they have had trouble with some of the aftermarket stock look alike lights.

My new headlights are not from the dealer, but they are original, I think I solved the problem, seems like the switch I bought new was defective, local autozone had a switch, I put that in now the ceramic disc gets warm not super hot, I hope that solved the problem.
