Default Headlights

Hi!

i have a 2012 fx4 with the oem black style headlight, and I was wondering if its possible for the running day lights to be like on the new oem hid's. I really love the way the yellow/orange lights in the day time. Is it possible to change that?! I'm not sure if it´s the same from country to another... But here in canada, the law ask for the cars to have a day time lights... And i want to change mine to be like the new hid´s

Thanks

It's not possible. Only the 13-14s have the option to have the blinkers as a DRL.

Hi.

Sure. Anything is possible. This one will require some wiring work, however.

Discussed here: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/drl-mo...embers-250926/

In a nutshell, you need to disable the existing headlight DRL function, then 'emulate' the same function by energizing markers/running lamps ( which is one of 2 filaments in yer turnsignals ) whenever the truck is running ) via additional circuitry, typically - but not limited to - a relay.

(If you have fog lights, consider rerouting DRL's to them instead. Much more visible, which is the point of these, really - just a thought).

good luck
