My high beams don't work on my '05 150 Screw and the headlights no longer come on and fade out after the doors are opened and closed. When I hit the high beam switch the lights turn off. I've checked the fuses for the low beam headlights and the relay for the high beams. They seem to be OK. I also bought a new headlight bulb and it does the same thing. Any ideas on what might be wrong? Could it be the stick at the steering column that controls the high beams?

 

sorry to tell you that you will have to replace the switch ford has been having this problem since 97 but at least the switch is easy to change a few basic tools and about 20 minutes work i have changed the switch on mine now 3 times
