Question Hard shifting

I have 2011 F-150 Super Crew with the 5 liter engine and I am experiencing slow and hard shifts when first starting out in the morning. Doesn't need to be cold out just when first driving the truck. Anyone else having this problem? Is it normal?????

Welcome to the forum. There are many threads concerning the shifting of the trannys. Have you had yours reprogrammed by the dealer? That may be all it needs. My previous '11 had some strange ways, the dealer flashed (reprogrammed) the tranny which fixed it right up.

BTW, how many miles are on the truck?

Hi torinobillgt.

Welcome to the forum! I recommend taking your truck by a Ford dealer to get this diagnosed. I'm here if you need anything in the future!

Default hard shifting

The truck has 21,000 miles on it, Thank you for the replies I will call my dealer again and have them get it in and check it out. Other than this problem I love the truck.

That's the best thing. Hope they get you fixed up.

I had the same issues with my '12, Dealer reprogrammed the computer and it was all cleared up.
