The brake lines may look OK from the outside - they will normally burst from the inside damage that cannot be seen.
Mine on my old 2000 F150 burst in my driveway. Guess what? No more brakes, no warning.. Could have been a disaster if driving in traffic.

Very true and possible but i would not go on with confidence if theyre covered in rust. Especially with that must rust...

You guys are right. I should probably keep looking. I'm just getting a little antsy because every time I think I've found a useable first truck I get a little over exited. I suppose I don't really need a super duty (pictured) as a first truck anyway. Thanks a lot! (Still bummed though...hahaha)
