what's the point in carrying, especially on a super cool magnet, if the weapon isnt ready to go? Though, magnets are stupid anyways, in my opinion.

There was one I’ve seen that hooks under the steering wheel column. Seems a lot safer than a magnet if you’re not going to be carrying it on your person.

I dont keep one chambered at all as the sig doesnt have a safety. So it's no different than being on my person.

Sarcasm aside; the magnet isn't for a quick-draw contest (and neither is a holster). It's to offload a heavy, bulky, uncomfortable object that may damage the upholstery; but still keep it handy for when you get out of the vehicle.

I'm not really familiar with them, but I don't think a Sig "has no safety" - I think it may "have no thumb trigger lock". But a trigger guard is a "safety" component of a pistol, and I bet your Sig has one. My Glock has no thumb lock, but it has 3 mechanical safeties & a trigger guard. And I carry with an empty chamber.

A safety as in a safety button/lever w.e. u would want to call it. It has none, the "safety" mechanism is a double action trigger that's it. If there is a round in the chamber and you pull the trigger it goes off with nothing to push/pull/release for it to happen. That's why I do not keep it chambered.

my uncle, a retired police officer, sometimes carries a small S&W in his pocket, but only with a kydex guard around the trigger guard. He secures a lanyard to a belt loop so that if he has to draw it the lanyard will run out of slack in about 10" and the kydex "guard" will come free on its own from the gun. The same idea could be done here. Drill a small hole in the trim and tie a lanyard to the trigger guard "protector" and it would breakaway automatically if you had to pull it off of the magnet.

Talk about splitting hairs and spinning something just to contradict... I think gun owners know a safety to be a safety. I've never heard of anyone saying "Sure, I have a safety, it's my trigger guard."

Someone should call PSA and let them know this is incorrectly labeled.

But I digress. Back on track. Make sure to check your local laws. In FL, you can't carry in your vehicle with just a pistol sticking to a magnet. If it's not on your person, it has to be in a snapped holster or pistol type bag with a zipper. Other states are more lienent.
