Default Grill guard

I want some opinions. Do I keep the ranchhand grill guard or not. If I keep it should I paint it the lower two tone paint color or leave it black.

That's a good question. I say leave it, but I wouldn't know what to do from there. Wouldn't you consider your bottom paint color chrome? Or at least your bumpers. Actually, how about you leave the ranch hand the color it is, and change your second two tone color to black? Yeah I know, I thought of that all by my self

Oh damn, that's a tough one! Haha I'd say lose it, I think it looks clean and sleek with out it. You can sell the thing too for money to put into other mods

The two tone color is silver, that is what is under the doors and bed not the Chrome. I really am not a fan of chrome. Black would look good but man I would have to paint the hole side of the truck that was just repainted.

I say sell it, buy a light bar and put 4 Hella 700's on it! I think the light bar looks a lot better than the grille guard on the F150's. I think the grille guards look good on the 250's because they are bulkier (is that a word?). I have been so torn between grille guards, bull bars and light bars. I have decided I can not have a grille guard on my F150 because I would be too tempted to ram my annoying neighbors who think our neighborhood is an extension of their Frat house when they invite people over on the weekends who park up and down the street in front of our house so you can not get out of your drive way. So I am going to invest the $500-$800 I would spend on the grille guard on a light bar, lights and a DANG TRAIN HORN TO WAKE THEM UP AT 6am on Saturday and Sunday mornings!!!!

That sounds like my neighbors. I told them that I would hit and drive over there car if they blocked my drive way. I also put two 500 w motion lights on the house that light up the drive and half the street to keep them away.

Grill guards are really only good for one or two deer hits. The way they are structurally mounted to go around the bumper and attach to the frame, they can't take a lot of force. The thing to get would be a front end replacement. Frontier, Ranch Hand, and Buck Stop make some of the best but I do like SultanGris as well.

I wouldn't paint it...tends to flake off after a few years. Frontier and Ranch Hand powder coat their accessories, only other coating as tough is bed liner (which you can have two toned).

Mine is a Del Rio. Not the prettiest but it is quite a strong setup. I repainted it when I got it (got it used for free) 3.5 years ago, now it needs to be repainted just because everything is chipping and flaking off. Currently hasn't budged after 5 deer hits, 1 owl, couple of raccoons, one Rio, pushed a few 3/4 tons with it, picked the truck up with it, pulled the truck out of some frame deep mud with it, and a tree.

Also here's a picture of a Frontier setup on a friends truck. 12 deer, 18 hogs, one Mustang GT (totaled). All it has to show is a dent in in the steel slightly off to the right of the center.
