Default got another idea

so basically my job gives me alot of time by myself giving me alot of time to think, sometimes good, sometimes bad,

so anyway, had an idea, what if i put an EFI 5.0 like in my '96 into a '70's F150 and thought lets do one better, just put a cab and front clip from a '70's F150 onto the chassis of my truck and then swap in the dash and interior from my '96 into the old cab, obviously it would cost quite a bit and would probly be a major PITA, but i think it'd be pretty sweet, classic styling with modern reliability

It might work, the body size should be about the same. Not sure if all the interior parts would match up. Good idea, though.

i figure the dash would definatly be a challenge, the seat wouldn't be too hard, basically it would be a 1996 with the body of a 1979, i probly wont do it but if the opportunity comes along, who knows

buddy put a 1970's ford crew cab onto a wrecked '06 diesle super duty frame, basically just the 70s cab and bed, everything else, including interior, power mirrors, etc came from the SD. it looks/sounds insane but it took him 3 years and a ton of money and said he would NEVER do it again.

Sounds cool on paper, and it is cool real life, but there are so many "little" things you dont think of that will nickle and dime ya to death.
