Going paperless.

Apologies for any appearance of arrogance. I freely provide any and all I can to help people and I sincerely would like to know if I have misinformed anyone. I do make mistakes and would like to learn from them. In hindsight I should have sent a PM to RadioMan so as to not clutter up your thread. Again I apologize for this faux pas.

For what it's worth Tim, I disagree with your paperless premise. I have a Haynes manual (at least) for every vehicle that I have ever owned. I like to read them like a novel before I ever "need" to read them. Forums are great for support too.
man therse alot of good info on here ... if have any questions just ask .. i will personally help you with anything ... if you need help with anything you can send me a messege ...or just ask it on here.. me and a few other guys will help you if they start talking out of your league dont worry about other posters sayin you dont know what you are talking about..
[quote=RadioMan;359053]I can't believe the answers I'm reading. It sure looks
like to me not many have a clue how to tell if they
have a old style fuel pump or electric pump in the
fuel tank..
This is what I was talking about. I thought a forum was a place to help out each othere and to bump ideas off each other. Maybe that was my misconception. I learn from my mistakes and joining here was one of them.

i will help you anyway i can...and jmc knows his stuff too... im sure hes still up for helping yea....that other guy ...if he wants to post he can calm down if you got any problems just ask away ..i will help you as much as i can...i know a little about the truck you are talking about but i will search through the forum and other sites to find you an answer
Have you ever just wanted to make sure before you take action? I do my own maintenance because I can and choose too. I just didnt want to drop the tank if I didnt have too. I have parked my mustang so I can start a resto on it and my only other means of transport is my Harley thats why I found this truck. I don't like to make more than 1 trip to the autoparts store if I don't have too. I did my troubleshooting and since I am used to fuel injection I figured I would make sure there was not a fuel pump in the tank. Yesterday I replaced the fuel pump and have driven this truck that hasn't ran in 8 years. I have replaced the clutch slave and master cylinders, coil and a few other things. I don't consider myself an expert or an idiot nor do I enjoy being referred to as one. I hope this was isolated and I may give this another try.
I understand how you may be feeling. First thread and some ąsshat has to spoil your impression of this forum. While I haven't been here that long if you stick around I am pretty sure you won't be disappointed.
