What a nightmare. First place no we dont cut at this location, go to our other store. Went there, no we dont cut that year model, call Bill at this number he does. Call Bill, no I dont cut that year model call Sam. Called Sam and he said yes he can cut it: $249.00! No thanks! Need to check with the dealer or call around. Its not a "must have" anyway. This will be my 3rd fob as a backup.

 

I just bought the simple key off of Amazon for my 2007 F150. Cost $99 for an uncut key, but comes with programmer. The programmer, for me will work with any fob going forward. All I have to do, is have it cut by a locksmith, but no need to pay the additional for them to program it.

If you search your year of vehicle + key fob with programmer on Amazon....

 

Thanks, FOB was simple to program per instructions in the owners manual. Issue is finding some one to cut the emergency key that came with it for a reasonable cost. Thanks

 

Not sure in your home state, but "sometimes" it's cheaper to order pre cut key through dealership with VIN and title.

 

I did this on my 2020, took the truck in with my ID and registration.
