Getting Line X Installed
Would you mind sharing costs/prices?
is their undercoat a lanolin/wool wax type of product, or is it similar to the Berliner (I haven’t heard of or researched their undercoating)?
does their undercoating require reapplications in future (annually)? If so, are those included in upfront cost/price ?
thanks.
what cab/bed setup do you have ?
I Have a 5.5 Bed

It was $649 for the Bed and $695 for the Undercoat

No, Its more like an epoxy based paint, Dries with UV Light for 6 hours, Its tough as nails

Does not require re-application, but comes with a life time guarantee if for any reason it chips, scratches, the will recoat the affected area for free. This was the deciding factor in my purchase. NH winters are brutal, and road salt gets everywhere
thanks.

thank you for taking time to answer! I don’t know if it would show well in a pic, but would be interesting to see the undercoat job. Curious if certain parts/areas were covered/not coated?
I got Linex Premium on my 09 Tundra Crewmax. Same conditions. Rust belt truck without a ton of crazy hot constant sun during the warm months, bed cover on 95% of the time. Looked the same as it did 7-8 years later when traded as it did installed. Have no idea how regular Linex would have compared in the same conditions. I probably wouldn't have bothered if doing it myself but I believe it was a birthday present and the wife paid, and didn't blink at the extra 100 when the salesman mentioned it so I said why not. If I ever yank the drop in on my Powerboost I probably wouldn't bother with premium this time around. Gonna be the same kind of life for the bed, even more so now. I keep a big pile of my kid's sports gear and some outdoor folding chairs near the tailgate in a soft bag so everything is in the truck ready to go when we roll for any of his activities. Won't be taking the bed cover off unless there is something specific I need to haul that is taller than the bed and requires all that stuff to come out. When I do the cover's going back on soon after because his crap has to go back in there. The bed will hardly ever see any sun. If it does see sun and fades I don't really think I'd care as long as it remains fully adhered as long as I own the truck just like the last time.

At $125 I would not get the premium IF you use a tonneau cover, since its benefit is UV protection
funny story, when I went to get my line x in Fife, WA installed I was set on the regular line x -- they had a demo that had the standard vs premium next to each other and all I could tell that was different was the premium was $100 more and looked more black while the standard was really dark gray; not much of a $100 difference, so I told them I wanted the regular.
Well, the line x didn't have anywhere to sit for three hours because of covid and told me people usually go to the denny's in the parking lot. So I go, order some food, get up to go to the bathroom, and when I come back my table is cleared. I'm like wtf, the waitress is like, "oh, we thought you dined and ditched like all the junkies around here do."
They offered to make me more food but I didn't really feel the Denny's vibe and started walking towards a casino to spend my time by losing money for a couple hours, when I find that there's a plasma donation center next to the line x, so I go in and they say they give $100 for a first donation. So I called line x and told them to upgrade me to premium, plopped my butt in a chair next to the junkies who dine and ditch, gave some plasma and used the $100 gift card they gave me to pay for the upgrade

Has anyone had issues with throwing codes in their '22 after getting Line-X? I just got my '22 Tremor and am looking at the underbody spray and bed liner, but keep hearing horror stories about them throwing codes after the fact.
