So refreshing to see someone doing a good deed out of the kindness of their heart and not the hole in their wallet. You've got some good karma coming your way for helping us fellow enthusiasts.
Don't have one for you, but have a question none the less. I looked at a Dodge Ram(don't hurt me!) a few years back. Truck was beautiful and was exactly what I was looking for. Last step after driving 3 hours to the dealer and driving and checking it, was to ask for the CarFax. It came back "Major structural damage with bridge". Stupid I might be, but does that mean just that? I almost thought it was comical. I obviously passed on the buy.

I'd definitely be cautious of something like that and probably would have walked on that deal as you did.
