Default Gear Ratio question

i have a 2019 f150 with the 3.5 ecoboost. Currently has 3.55 gears and the 10 speed transmission. im adding a 6' and 37s and am debating between 4.56's and 4.88's. anyone with a 10 speed on 37's regear to 4.88 and feel it was too much?

There's a bunch of calculators out there. Put some numbers in then change the tire size. Then change the ratio and see what gets you back to where you started. Requires some thinking. No offense. Higher speed means slower acceleration and vice-versa.

Tire Size Comparison

Plug in the numbers then scroll down and click on "gear ratio calculator."

Looks like 4.10's will give you a comparable ratio with the bigger tires.

The Raptor 37 comes with 4.10’s. I dont think I would run anything shorter than 4.56’s because the 10 speed trans already offers a very short first gear
