Gear indicator
Got in my truck yesterday evening and noticed that my vertical gear indicator is no longer working. It's the indicator that shows what gear you are in... 1-6.
Went to the lake fishing yesterday, and my brother backed the boat trailer down, we loaded the boat...but when I went to leave the boat ramp is when I noticed the indicator was not working. He said he pushed a couple of buttons on the steering wheel to stop the backup beeper...but I don't know of anything that would cause the gear indicator to stop working.
Anyone else heard of this?

There are up and down shift buttons on your shifter if you have a column shift.
Press the buttons to turn display back on and push more to lock out specific gears.
This is a feature not a problem!

I had same "feature" concerns when I first got my 2013!
Enjoy!

I have used the manual shift lock via the + and - buttons on the shifter, especially when pulling my boat...but had never tried to go up higher than 6. If you hit the + after the 6 it will turn off the gear display. Still not sure why that would be a feature
