Depends on what model. Reg, Extended Cab, Supercrew.

I believe all Supercrews whether FX4 or not is 3.73s.

It may be a different axle alltogether. In 2004-2006's the rear axle could be a 8.8 or 10.25, depending on the configuration as the last post said. It's more than likely that an "07 is an 8.8 (10 cover bolts) (12 cover bolts) with a 4.6 liter, or a 9.75 in a 5.4 liter. Yes, all 2004-2008 FX4's are 3.73 gears.

Look on the door jam for a sticker and find what axle code.

If its a 5.4, 2006 or later, its more than likely a 9.75. Same set-up I have. They don't use the 8.8 with the 5.4 liter, and they don't use the 10.25 after 2005 unless you have the HD F-150 (7 lug nuts.) Earlier FX4's had 10.25's, but they use 9.75's now too I believe.

http://www.ringpinion.com/DiffList.a...=253&Side=Rear Check this link. It'll bring up a pic of all the different axles Ford uses

to answer you original question though... ... An XLT can come through with 3.31, 3.55, or 3.73. You can also look at the tag on the axle itself. It's attached to one of the cover bolts.

Anyway, If you take a picture of the axle standing behind the truck, I could tell you what it is just by looking.

thanks guys, this truck is 87miles away, i have been planning on selling mine and going up ther to buy it. After no real acceptable offers on mine i am considering just going to trade.

so ill just shoot them an email asking for info

here is the best pic i could find

btw, what does that say under the badge? 4wd? or Awd?

hah one more question, i have a vehicle thats KBBed at 20,500 and they want 17,500 for this one. would it be wise to go for a trade in? would they swap em? would i get any money from the difference of the two? or am i better off trying to privately sell mine?

That's a 9.75... No question about it. Badge says 4WD. The only AWD F-150 I know of is the Harley Davidson Edition.
That's a nice looking truck, love the color, but I see it's got those dinky 235 Hankook tires (like mine had). Throw some 285's on there, will ya!

On the trade question, you need to go by the KBB wholesale price, not the retail. And then you need to remember that you only pay sales tax on the difference in price on the 2 vehicles (I don't know if you have sales tax there, or not, but in the People's Republic Of New York, AKA the armpit of America, AKA "what the rest of the country will turn into if they don't start paying attention to how they vote", we do). If you don't have sales tax, disregard the rant!

You will alomost never walk away with money after a trade from a dealer, unless it's something they really want on their lot, or have a buyer in line for it. Might be better off trying to sell it outright, but its worth a try.
