Default Gear Display Indicator Gone

Last week I experienced a power loss and a flashing check engine light in my 2013 Eco boost when I accelerated to get on the freeway. I took it in to the local dealership and they told me it was an issue with the air getting to the inner cooler. Anyway, they reprogrammed my computer as well and now display that shows which gear the truck is in is gone. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure you have to press the gear down button on the selector with the transmission in drive not manual mode

Pressing the gear up in drive toggles it off and on. At least in 6th, not sure about lower gears.

Pressing the minus sign removes gears your truck will shift to. I just removed that from the screen so I didn't accidentally lower the gear choices when shifting into drive, reverse and park.
