I have a 2008 expedition. When I fill up with gas, the automatic shut fill stop the pump and seconds later gas will come running out of the filler hole all over the vehicle and on the ground. It started last winter, quit this summer, and now it is doing it again. Any ideas what the issue is? It doesn't seem to mater at any station it will do it.

 

Tanks have a venting system or a vent valve on a hose outside of the tank.

Maybe they are clogged or damaged.
