Default Gas Milage, 2013 5.0, took a 320 mile trip.

Went to my dad's house, hauled some lumber, fixed some stuff, drove in town to Lowes twice. I will fill up tomorrow, but the "computer says" I averaged 22.2 miles/gallon. Will update tomorrow. Traveled 90% of the time at 70. Just FYI...........Truck rides great,, but I hate many things about it. (Where's the gas cap? to keep dirt out?)

If you dislike so many things about the truck why not get a different one? Maybe a different trim level of brand all together. That's like complaining that you don't like Chinese food at a Chinese food buffet every single time you go.

That's pretty good gas mileage IMO. Gotta love the technology that calculates your gas mileage and is the reason your mileage was so much better and rides so much better than your old truck.

It doesn't need the gas cap to keep dirt out. That's why it doesn't have one.You had a great, positive experience and are dwelling on a negative that doesn't exist.

The more you drive/use your truck, the more you're going to come over to us on the dark side (of technology)....

Computer was wrong, gallons used divided by miles =20.
My old school 300 CI six got 19 all day long on a trip.
If that truck was made today, I would trade tomorrow. It was better in so many ways.

22.2 is damned good! I have a 2011 with the 5.0 and it has 130,000 miles on it. It has been all over the country towing nothing and the best I have ever averaged is 19.9. that was driving from Illinois to California, pretty much all highway miles doing 70+. With that being said, there has not been a single issue with this truck! only brakes, tires, and wiper blades.

Lee leaving would ruin all my fun. I look forward every day to seeing what he comes up with next. Now he's complaining that a 360 hp V8 only gets 1MPG more on the highway than his old weak *** 4.9L that made 170 hp on a good day and did 0-60 in a weekend. I get tons of amusement out of this crap.

That's bull, the old 4.9s would out pull anything, even the powerstroke, while getting 27 mpg and costing ten times less.

Cmon man, if you dislike the truck so much there are still pickups out there built much more basically, like the Tacoma or Frontier. Get one of those. Or maybe be the first to swap a 4.9 I6 in to a 2015 F150.
