gas guage
I filled up today and my gauge will only read 1/4 full. What could cause this.

The float is probably stuck and that is why you are not getting an accurate reading.

This happened to me once put I drove for about 30 minutes and it slowly corrected itself

That used to happen to me in my Ranger if I left key on or engine running while fueling. Used to reset after turning off then restarting.
