Default Fuel-Throttle Module?

My '05 S Crew with a 5.4L stalled while driving and "Engine in Fail Safe Mode" warning came on. I brought it to the dealer for diagnosis and they tell me that the "throttle module"(?) needs to be replaced and he tells me that it will be 3 weeks before they can get the part from Ford!! Can this be possible with a million F-150 on the road? Has anyone else had this problem or heard of having to wait three weeks for parts?

3 weeks seems a little long. Is there another dealer in the area they can get the part from?

Is this warranty work, did you talk to the service manager?

Default Fuel-Throttle module

Not warranty work....137K miles. I e-mailed service manager and I'm waiting for reply.

That makes it even worse, is there another dealer or mechanic in the area?
