Hi need help,

1987 F150 300 six motor fuel pumps will not work when it is cold in morning.
Have replaced one fuel pump front tank, replaced relay switch too.
Need help with this one.

My 1987 f250 will start when i jump fuel relay but will not start when I hook up relay right. The wires got hot going to relay. Found a short in rear tank wires. Could new relay be ruined by short.
