i brought my f150 2005 to the dealership to change my fuel pump and they found a unversal clip on the fuel filter that was put on there when i had my fuel filter changed. They called me and said that my truck in danger because of this, so i told them to change. I kept the part and had other mech. look at it and they told me there was nothing wrong with it, Does this sound right to anyone.

No idear on the answer, just saying hi.

 

The clip on the input side of the filter is part of the conector assy;ditto for the output side.Maybe the last mechanic did not use the correct removal tool. If you "pick" at that clip you will break it.
