Thats what i was thinking too. I was looking at prices on the actuator on the fire wall and at the wheels. I feel at vibration in the front floor while taking off

Default 2005 F-150 same issue

Any more ideas on the above problem. I’m have what sounds like the same problem. I noticed a knocking while driving, I jacked up the front and the driver side wheel turned just fine, the passenger side was very hard to turn. I thought the CV axel failed, and changed it. The truck drove fine for a couple blocks then there was a load bang and it started again. I bought two CV axels as I planned on doing both sides. So I used the second and swapped out again, this time spent more time investigating. When the CV is off, the wheel turns freely, and I can turn the axel going to the differential by hand just fine. When I insert the front part of the CV into the hub, everything still turns freely. It not until I start bolting up the back end of the CV until it starts binding.

I’m confident i did not dislocate the joints in the CV. Does not change when i put into 4H (driving anyway). When trying to spin the wheel by hand, it feels like something is binding, and once it gets past the spot it’s loose again for about a 1/4 of a turn.

did you ever figure out what the issue was? I'm going through the same thing and can't solve it.

Bump. I'm here with what sounds like the same problem.
I just did a level on the front (Bilstein 5100) and UCAs. Then I guess I want careful putting the CV back together and killed the actuator on one side. Got that replaced and it's still driving and turning like crap.

2011 XLT w/ 3.5EB, 120k miles.

Halp me pleez.

Noremac The Viking...
And that same problem is happening on ???? Vehicle information... *Minimally, year.

If you're not going to provide it in your posts, consider putting your complete vehicle information (year, model, cab, trim, engine, wheelbase, _x4 drive, mileage, maintenance, modifications, etc., etc.) in your signature to have it automagically included. *Eliminates playing 20 questions when/if a post is made pertaining to your vehicle.

Bumping this to 2025. Looks like a diagnosis was never stated. I am stumped on this. Any ideas? Hoping it's not the differential.
One more thing to add, when the truck is on the lift, off the wheels, andlifrotate the wheel the suspension actually moves when the binding is happening.
Lastly, this is with the brake caliper completely off.
