Does anyone have a problem with the front drivers side axle breaking when just driving down the road? its on a 6 inch lift but i dont think that has anything to do with it!

 

No... then again knowing what truck you have, etc... would be helpful

 

Can you give us more information about your truck and your driving habits? Do you go off-roading often? How much abuse do you put your truck thru?

 

i have a 98 f150 4x4 5.4L v-8 crew cab... it has only been mudding 4 times inthe last 2 years as i have been in iraq and germany ... my fiance only drives it a few times a week so that it does not just sit. Before though i used to take my truck out everyweekend. but i never had any problems. it sits on a 6 inch lift with 31's. so i dont see how that would be a factor in the problem ... i am only told by my fiances dad who does not know much about vehicles that it is the axle ... they towed it to the shop today but was still wonderin on suggestions to help prevent further break downs until i come home and can do more work on it myself.
