i just installed a 2in. on my 2010 and can a regular place align it or do i "need" to take it to a off road place????

I don't think I've paid more than $75 for an alignment and never had any problems. This is with lifted four wheel drive trucks. Anyway, I definitely agree with getting a refund and going somewhere else. They very well could have thought your truck was aligned when they took your money and found out after that it was broken. I'd just make sure before jumping to any conclusions, especially if it's a shop you've had a good relationship with.
