Thank you. I am really enjoying reading through your build. I am right there behind you. Do you have the part number for the main harness that you used? I have to replace that also.

I know. That's why I'm impressed. I just finished rebuilding a Rubicon new frame and all. The main harness, like you I am starting from scratch with an even lower option package 300A

The problem is (if you are talking about the main harness in the dash) they changed some of the connections between 2015 & 2016, so just like the SYNC settings my numbers wouldn't work for your truck

I have the obolink MX code reader and have downloaded forscan lite onto my motorola maxx2 droid phone. Is this a capable setup to activate my brake controller that I recently installed? I don't seem to be getting same home screen that shows on tutorials.

Thanks for any and all help, Max

You need to download FORScan for Windows to be able to take full advantage of the OBDLink MX - the Lite version will not let you make changes within the Configuration and programming section which is where you need to be to activate the brake controller

Don't take it to a dealer... for what they are going to charge you can get a cheap windows based tablet & do it yourself. You will find other things that you will want to accomplish that can be done ONLY with FORScan - stuff the dealer will tell you it isn't possible..

Thanks for the compliments, But really I started with no major plans & a few questions that these guys were kind enough to answer.... then a short time (& a lot of money) later I have what you see on my build thread.
