my wife and I had a 15 Focus, almost at 100k, great car but the unfix-able and driveability of the trans specially in hilly areas is a POS, Ford extended our warranty out to 120k. the class action lawsuit is a joke.

Truth. All class-action lawsuits are a joke. The plaintiffs get a tiny fraction--if they're lucky--of the payout while the lawyers and their office get the lion's share. Fuggedaboudit.

What a crock! Not that the problem isn't real but acting like this is unusual or a Ford "thing" is nonsense. Go to any manufacturer and you can find exactly the same kind of problems and many much more expensive. Look up how much the problems with GM and Chrysler effected their almost going under a few years back. Nobody likes or wants any of this but the only "real" option is to quit driving. Do that and you won't experience these problems.

I've had a few focus's for rentals and they seem fine. I did have a fiesta and that was the biggest POS ever. I can't believe it is even road worthy.

The good old dps6. We have a 2011 fiesta with 70k and have not had a single trans issue, actually any issue with the car knock on wood. The clutch is starting to chatter a bit when hot but not slipping yet, so i would say by 90k it will need clutches. My wife put 30k on it last year alone for school so it's saved us a ton of money. Only thing that pisses me off is that i can't do the clutch myself because you need ids and the alignment and installation tools.

Those says to just deal with it, actually read the article. Are you going to just deal with the car dropping to neutral, sever clutch chatter at take off, no start situations? Ford claims that none of these pose any risk even though there are confirmed cases where the issues caused an accident. Also if you read the article you will see that these issues were known before the trans was released but they sold them anyways knowing there was not a way to fix it. Fords fix was to blame the drivers.

Is this a joke or what.
At first glance an outrageous thread title with no facts, link or even the date of that so called newspaper rag.
Until the facts are presented, i'll consider this fake or exaggerated news.
Useless thread.
