Default Ford X-Plan Pricing

First off, allow me to apologize if this has already been stated or if I am posting this in the wrong area. I tried to do a search for similar topics and didn't find any.

Secondly, I am not employed by nor am I a paid spokesperson for the company mentioned.

Those of you former/current military members seeking to purchase a new F-150, I painstakingly discovered a way to qualify for X plan pricing. With the new 2015s already out, you will probably find a better deal on a 2014s without X Plan.

However, if you are interested in a new 2015, all you have to do is visit the website for Veteran's Advantage and sign up to be a member. It is about $50 per year and qualifies you for numerous benefits. One of those being Ford's X-Plan pricing.

If you have any questions about how it works, I'll answer questions to the best of my knowledge. I just purchased a 2015 F-150 using X Plan and it saved me a lot of money.

This is not a hoax or an advertisement.

My employer has X-Plan and I was able to use that in negotiating a really good deal on a 2014 fx4 a few weeks ago

So what's this Veteran's Advantage through? A bank, the VA, Ford itself?

The site claims to not be government run or funded. I think its one of those sites out there that was founded by veterans for veterans, and they just contact companies to see if they want to jump on board and do something nice for vets.

For the amount of money you can save from Ford I'm really surprised they are on there. Then again, this site has been around for 14 years (I'm going by the 2000-2014 Copyright date on the site) and I just found out about it, on my own, 2 weeks ago. This tells me they don't have a lot of money to advertise.

I thought it was cool that when I signed up, they asked if I wanted to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project. The money donated through the Veterans Advantage site to the WWP would go towards funding memberships to wounded veterans.

Here are some of the participating members:
Travel: United/Lufthansa/Greyhound/JetBlue/Avis/Hertz
Hotels: Ramada/Wyndham/Comfort Inn
Shopping: Foot Locker/CVS/Target/Coleman/Sears/GNC
Home: Dell/Apple/Verizon Wireless/Ford

Not bad. I imagine the list would grow with more exposure.

So to get in the program you gave to agree to receive advertisements from the above people? And I'm waiting on some more to come out about the wounded warrior program before I comment on that part. They've recently had some things come to light, so I'm looking into supporting them or not.

I will look at this site though. And I'm definately going to read the fine print before deciding one way or another.

I've only been a member for a little over a week and the only email I have received so far is an update (seasonal) discount from CVS. I haven't received any junk mail or advertisements for other businesses or companies. The email I received was not from CVS. It was from Veterans Advantage informing me about CVS. On the site you can choose to receive those emails or not.

I think I know where you're coming from with the Wounded Warrior Project but keep in mind that the money doesn't go to the actual WWP foundation. It goes to the wounded veterans who want to sign up for Veterans Advantage through the WWP. It allows VA to give a discounted rate or free membership to wounded veterans. Nothing political there. It's a tax deduction at worst.

Here's a link to Ford info about the benefits they will give to veterans, particularly disabled vets:

https://www.fordmobilitymotoring.com...ces#.VJmJ2d0MA

For disabled, or mobility challenged vets, apparently the Ford program will reimburse them for upfits to their vehicles that allow them to enter/exit their vehicles, or other things like controls that might be necessary to drive the vehicle.

"Veterans Advantage" is mentioned as an organization that Ford recognizes.
