Are you talking about the Boss 429??

They has hemispherical combustion chambers like the Mopar Hemi's.

Actually, back in the day, a good buddy of mine's brother had one in a mustang. it was wunderful for destroying tires, but that was about it. Today, they are rarer than..., well pretty much everything. Don't even bother to waste your time looking for parts or entire engines. They were built specifically for nascar super speedways and were basically banned as soon as they showed up. there is a whole bunch of info out there- but you have to dig for it. It was kind of a "pipey" motor, meaning once you got it up in the right RPM band, it was a monster, but the ports were waayyy to big for anything below about 4 grand. A 429SCJ by comparison, would blow it out of the water till you got north of 5 grand. Because of Nascar rules, they had to put like 1500 of these brutes in the hands of dullards on the street before they could race 'em, so they stuffed them into Mustangs and Torinos and sold 'em at a horrific loss to meet the rules.

Got to love homologation specials. RS2000 escorts were in the same vein, absolutely horrible on the street, but kicked *** on rally courses.
