Ford Falling Behind?
I think the advertisements need to be updated now but I think Ford knows that they don't have to advertise very hard to us "truck guys and gals" - I think their commercials are geared towards the mainstream consumer more that may be thinking about a truck as PT.
I know people who work at the local Ford dealer. They told be of numerous people who had been GM, or Chrysler people for decades, and had never set foot in a Ford dealership. They where discussed by what the government had done with GM and Chrysler. My friend told me these people where astonished by what they found and they told the salesmen that GM, and Chrysler had lost a customer.

I agree the ad was in bad taste, given that Mulally supported the bailout and even if they weren't part of the actual AIFP they did receive some form of government assistance. Saying they didn't receive bailout money is true, it just isn't the whole truth.
