Default Ford f-150 2013 third break light not working

Not sure how to start this, but we have a harness issue that was a after market setup when I bought it used. The fuses are all in working order, other than # 30 in fuse panel, can't figure out why when testing it has now power but not blown. It's so confusing because when you connect the break light and step in the break, it will not light up. Any suggestions

it's a BRAKE light. this 3rd brake light allows a complete circuit for the cruise control, if the the light is burnt out or inop, it may have something to do with the CC also. check the fuse for the CC.

BCM fuse F30 is part of the PARK lamp circuit, not the BRAKE lamp circuit. The PARK lamp circuit goes to the high mount stop lamp ONLY on the Raptor variant where it backlights the logo.

That was applicable to previous generations. Doesn't apply to the '13. There is no fuse for the CC.

If the cargo lamp is also inoperative, check the ground (G201) as well as the connection for the high-mount stop light assembly.

If the reversing lamps are also inoperative, check fuse F15 under the dash. If they work, then ....

Yes. Specifically, the BCM. It uses an FET protection scheme that disables the circuit in the event of a fault.
