Definitely worth it for me!
Do we have to pay for TSB work after warranty is over?

Yes. TSB's are not covered outside of warranty. I just had to pay last summer for a TSB on my Fusion Hybrid, it cost $187.97 for the software update to be applied.

I paid $1300 for mine when the truck was at about 30K miles. It currently has 85K miles and I took it to the dealer to have them look at the front wheel bearings because I kept hearing a roaring sound coming from the front end. Knew that had to be the issue. Dealership replaced the wheel bearings on both sides and billed just under $1200 for the work. Roaring is now gone. So it was worth it to me. Only out of pocket charge to me was my $100 deductible on the ESP.

For those that personally sell, not trade in, their old truck.

If you are, say, 80k miles into a 100k miles warranty, and decide to sell, ponder this.

Would you expect to get more, less, or the same sales price, if you could offer the buyer 20k miles worth of ESP Premium Warranty?

Thanks for the advice guys. The truck has about a 1 1/2 years and about 18,000 miles left on the warranty. I think I will just save $100 a month until the warranty is almost expired and just pay cash for the extended warranty if the truck shows that it will be problematic. If it's still going strong I will save it for a just in case repair.

Flood Ford or Zeigler Ford. Pretty much the cheapest online dealers. (within $25 of each other).

I agree with the Zeigler option. They are an actual Ford dealer. They happen to be my local dealer and operate a handful of dealerships throughout Michigan and Indiana I believe. They will offer the same price on the warranty if you walk in or buy online. I picked up an extended warranty for my Yamaha motorcycle from them (they have a motorsports dealership too) and they were the cheapest I could find anywhere. Somehow they are able to give good deals for them. They are legit, don't be hesitant to deal over the phone or online with them.

Exclamation

Zeigler has given forum discounts for years, so definately legit (and the cheapest).

He's located out of a dealership AT 1186 E M-89, Plainwell MI 49080

Flood Ford would be the next in line. (never dealt with them, but some other forum members have).

There's motivation to find an issue when not prepaying (ESP) vs telling you it's normal like we're hearing on the odd noises that can't be normal.

One extended warranty helped me but that's it. Maybe I'm lucky and stay that way
